MotoGP 2009

On Sunday 25th Oct. 2009, I went to SIC (Sepang International Circuit) to watch penultimate race of MotoGP. Valentino Rossi will be crowned the 9th World Champion if he secures 4th place in the race. That was thrilling.
The rain had delayed the race for almost 20 minutes, so all riders seems to take cautious move because the track was slippery and less grip to the rubber.

I enjoyed the race, although it could be even better if the track was dry. So who wins? Casey Stoner did and Rossi won 3rd podium finish and he is the 2009 MotoGP World Champion, and that is the 9th in his career so far

Last year, I missed the same event organised by Red Garage @ MATIC Jalan Ampang. This year, they have changed the venue to Bukit Kiara Equestrian Park. I guess, to have more space to accommodate bigger crowds and motorcycles on display.
It was two days event (Friday 23rd & Saturday 24th Oct. 2009), but I only managed to be there on Saturday afternoon.

Wedding Ana and Wan

On 12th July 2009, my wife and I had been invited to attend a wedding ceremony at Westin Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
“Majlis Bersanding” of a wonderful and charming couple – Ana and Wan. I was not the official photographer haha.. but I can’t resist the temptation to snap some photos of the couple. The theme for the night – Man in black, Lady in pink!
Ana studied in the same Uni as my wife, where she did her MSc in Lancaster, England back in 2002/2003.
We wish both of the newly wed couple a joyous and blessing life ahead.

Wedding TJ Iskandar and Norazila

Just got back from Kajang this evening. Attended a wedding reception of my wife’s office mate – En. TJ Iskandar and his wife, Puan Norazila at Kajang, Selangor.
We arrived around 2.30pm and just missed “bersanding” session. We wish both newly wed husband and wife a prosperous life ahead. Congrats!

Vacation

It’s school holiday. We had a nice holiday in Kuantan and Kuala Terengganu from 8th June until 11th June.
The trip to Kuantan was smooth along East Coast Expressway (LPT). I presumed everybody has gone back from their vacation, since it’s already second week of school holiday.
On the way back from Kuala Terengganu, we stopped at Cherating beach for about 1 hour to rest and enjoy the scenery. I purposely drive through a chalet where my wife and I had spent our “honeymoon” in 1996. It’s not a good experience anyway as the condition of our chalet was bad hahaha..

Majlis Perkahwinan Roime dan Zaiton

Baru saja pulang dari kenduri kahwin rakan sepejabat – Encik Roime Puniran yang telah selamat diijabkabul bersama pasangan hidupnya – Puan Zaiton Othman.
Kenduri dilangsungkan di Felda Pasoh 3, Batu Kikir, Negeri Sembilan. Semoga kekal bahagia hingga ke akhir hayat hendaknya.

Aiman’s 11th Birthday

On 20th May, it was Aiman’s 11th birthday. Since it was weekdays, we only got the chance to celebrate it at night after got back from work/school. I can see he’s a bit upset because we don’t prepare for a proper birthday ceremony for him. Alas, a cake is a must to celebrate him. Happy birthday Aiman!

I got a chance to attend a wedding photography business strategy seminar organised by CandidSyndrome and Saiful Nang.
I must say, the seminar had inspired me to do things that I don’t even think could make money (so big!). Saiful has done it. From a mere RM90 as a “working capital”, he managed to secure more than a million in less than 3 years after venture in wedding photography business since 2004.
How he did that?, well If you listened to his story, you would say to yourself – “hey dude, why don’t you think about it and have a go too!, it doesn’t take rocket scientist to do it”.
That’s the good thing about attending seminar or short courses. You got some “booster” to enlighten your ideas. Of course, doing nothing after got that inspiration will lead us to nowhere. So, I need to set my direction clear, find a niche, study the demography, build my empire (yes, he did this too!), strategise my work, influence people by your credibility and talent, and not to forget – manage your financial flow (book keeping)!.
So, this will be another thing that I’m adding to this year “todo list”, that is to find a niche in my photography work. A niche that can turn into big rewards – monetary perhaps and also personal satisfaction.
