Paving for the Future
It’s has been a year plus I haven’t jot something in here. It so happen, I linger around with Google’s other function (features), and web-hopping from that page to here.
Luckily I still remember my favourite login name (and password of course). I don’t know whether I can come back a year later, or perhaps a little bit more frequent.
Life is nothing much to tell about. Kids are growing up. Works are as usual, never ending. Favourite past time hobbies still biking and sleeping sightseeing.
For my own record, I’ve subscribed to Streamyx (at last!) on 21st April 2006. The day after, with high anticipation, I went to Low Yat (popular IT shops & stuff) to get WiFi router, SD Card, CD-R, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD Burner and CAL-LAB Lightning Isolator. My home now is networked all around wirelessly!.
My wife not feel excited at first, not until I demonstrate her how “cool” it is accessing Internet and do things we use to do with our Desktop at Office. This week, I brave myself to install Limewire (gee, I am paranoid of P2P apps for the possibility of hostile trojan horse & backdoor apps). As an avid paranoid Internet user, I’ve enabled the firewall at my WiFi, ADSL adaptor, PC (personal firewall), AntiVirus and Registry Manager. Now you know how paranoid I am
I can now set forwarding rules to Intranet PC/Server at home. Plan to install WebCam watchdog soon. Huh!, so many plan to do.
catch up with you later, take care then.
